REVIEW | M.A.C TOLEDO + COLOURPOP

I know it is a bit outdated but do you know about this M.A.C new collection which is M.A.C Toledo? Everyone is raving about this in the month of Feb, especially the makeup junkies out there. Since it is a limited edition, so one thought came into my mind, saying "I should definitely get it".

M.A.C Toledo Collection is basically a creation of these two lovers', Isabel x Ruben Toledo, on the different range of reds, according to their intensity of reds. As for the packaging, it is white in colour, consisting of Ruben's illustrations of one-of-a-kind aesthetic using graphic lines and faces.

M.A.C in Taupe | M.A.C Toledo in Sin

I have been craving this colour for a long time which is M.A.C lipstick in Sin. Since M.A.C Toledo collection are on the trend, why not buy the colour Sin with this limited edition packaging right? So, I have bought it. I am lucky because they have stock on this colour for the collection. If you want to buy right now, I bet it is already sold out. Nevertheless, you can get the normal M.A.C packaging in Sin. This lipstick is a matte lipstick and it is a deep blood red in colour. I have been loving this colour. It is a bit similar to M.A.C Diva but this one is more towards brownish red compared to Diva. As for the price, it is pricey as it costs about $30 (Singapore dollars) and RM 70 (Malaysian Ringgit).

Let's move on the next thing that people is talking about which is ColourPop.

At first, I did not know about this ColourPop cosmetics until one fine day, my friend was the one who actually introduced to me. Since I am a fan of dark lipsticks, she asked me to actually try out ColourPop's Lippie Stix in LBB. She showed me a picture of the lipstick and it attracted my attention so I bought it. For your information, ColourPop is made in L.A, Los Angeles and the lipsticks are the bomb because they have every single colour that people are donning for. You can find green, blues and even black lipstick.
ColourPop's Lippie Stix in LBB
This lipstick is one of the best-sellers for ColourPop's Lippie Stix. It gives off a matte finish and it is red-wine plum in colour. Somehow, this is one of the cheapest lipsticks that I have ever had and it is a really good lipstick and it lasts for a longer time than I have expected it to be, I swear. I bought it online and it costs only for RM 25 (Malaysian Ringgit). I am not sure if you buy it through Singapore currency but you can always google it though. It is very cheap, indeed and I am in love with it so much. So, for those who are into dark lipsticks, do check this out alright? I am 100% sure that you will not regret it.

FINALLY, I HAVE THE TIME TO ACTUALLY UPDATE A NEW BLOGPOST. Sorry for the late post because of the loads of assignments due and tests. Well, the perks of being a college student.
Well, if you have any recommendations on the lipsticks that you want me to look at, do email me @ aurorafeatbelo@gmail.com. I will be looking forward to it. You can also mention me @AuroraFeatBelo at Twitter and Direct message me at my Instagram.

FEATURES OF THIS FLORAL CROWN:

What makes this floral crown different from others is basically you can actually reshape it back when it is out of shape. The good thing is you can actually CUSTOMISED it on how you want the floral crown to be. Be it bold or pastel or maybe combination of both! You can choose how big your flower is going to be or vice versa. As for the price range, it is from $12 to $20 (Singapore dollar).

In my opinion, I am so in love with this beautiful floral crown. Even though it is pretty awkward for me to wear it for casual look as it was supposed to wear for special events, I still wear it though because I could not deny the fact that it is just beautiful. I love the features as this kind of floral crown is very unique, different from other floral crowns that I have bought. I just love the fact that I can actually adjust on how I want to put on my head. For me, it is worth buying as the price is affordable so I recommend you girls to buy this beauty. Do not wait because I bet you girls out there will actually love it and wanting more of it. If I were to give a second chance, I will buy it as having just one floral crown in your closet is just not enough.

REVIEWS ON MY LIPSTICKS!

Since young, I have been wondering what is like to wear lipstick. People say, lipstick helps to complete your make up look. I wonder if it is true or is it just a myth? Lipstick looks nice when people wear it but when it comes to me, I feel so insecure. Confidence level : where did you go?

I have changed my perspective since the last time I bought the first lipstick which was last year. It is true what people say, lipsticks can really boost your confidence level so say bye bye low self esteem.

WARNING:
This is just based on my experience and my OWN thoughts on these lipsticks. No one paid for me to do this so it is a HONEST review. You do not have to take it seriously. Take a chill pill alright?

So, here's my lipsticks collection!

It is just only FIVE lipsticks but dayummmm I am so addicted with all of them, like literally. Well, most of the lipsticks that I bought are compilations from the drug stores (e.g. Guardian) and branded ones (e.g. M.A.C).

FIRST: NAKED FROM URBAN DECAY

To be honest, this is my first ever lipstick that I bought. It is the Urban Decay's Revolution Lipstick in Naked. It is creamy shine, rich-pigmented and it is very long lasting. It is also keeps the lip mosturised at all times so do not worry about it! As for the price, it is a bit pricey as it costs about $33 (Singapore dollars). For me, pricey but worth it though. Most of the time, I will wear this whenever I go to school as it gives me the refreshing look. Since this colour is a bit pinkish for my lip, it will give a sweet look as well.

SECOND: ROSE VELVET FROM REVLON

This is Revlon Super Lustrous Lipstick in Rose Velvet (130). You can get at any drugstores such as Guardian or Watsons for just $18.90 (Singapore dollars). This colour is more to nude shades, making it versatile to any skin colours. It pulls off with any eye makeup as this lipstick makes the lips look natural. For me, this lipstick is worth buying. Even though it looks shiny, but when you put onto your lips, it does not look shiny at all. For the matte lovers out there that loves nude colour, I think you will like this lipstick a lot. You will not regret buying it, seriously. I think maybe in the future, I will buy more of this nude colour lipsticks.

THIRD: WHIPPED CAVIAR FROM NYX

Oh gosh, this is only the 3rd lipstick. Bear with me, girls! So, this is NYX's matte lipstick in Whipped Caviar (MLS15). I got mine at Sephora at $12 only but I think you can get it at Guardian as well (I'm not so sure though but you can try and check it out there). This is just a darker version of Urban Decay's Naked. For me, I will follow my mood to actually wear this lipstick. Sometimes, I will mix this lipstick wih Urban Decay's Naked so I will get a matte + shiny lips. Honestly, if you are looking for a cheaper range of lipstick, I recommend NYX lipstick as it is the best compared to the rest. Oh gosh, it rhymes though. Not only it is highly pigmented, it is also last longer than I actually thought it would be.

FOURTH: CATRICE'S THE LIPS ARE ON FIRE

First bright lipstick that I have ever bought. The first but not the last, I promise! This is the cheapest lipstick that you can ever find in Singapore as it costs about $7.90. Cheap, isn't it? Well, I have picked Catrice's Ultimate Colour in The Lips Are On Fire (330) as I wanted to try something bright and experimenting new things. It gives a full-coverage and highly pigmented. It is a creamy-shine lipstick. For me, it is a bit too bright but oh well, makeup is all about experimenting new stuff, whether it suits your face or not. It looks orange at my hand but when I wear it, it looks more towards pinkish orange (okay, I can't deny the fact that I am bad at describing colours but I still tried my best). So, I dare myself to actually try it on. They said that this lipstick is long-lasting but based on my experience, IT IS NOT AT ALL. It will somehow fade away so I disagree on that "fact".

LAST: M.A.C'S DIVA

Many people have been raving about this lipstick so I knew that I just had to buy it. So yeah, I bought it. It is a bit pricey as each M.A.C lipstick costs about $30 (Singapore dollars). It gives off a matte finish and it is very pigmented. It looks like a plum colour but when you wear it, it gives a dark red-maroon colour. For me, although it is pricey, I am addicted to it. It is one of my favourite bold lipsticks. You need to be confidence when you wear this lipstick as it gives a strong impression. For this kind of lipstick, I recommend you to wear a minimal makeup so the main point of this makeup would be the lips.

Finally, it is the end of the review! Phew, I did it. I am so proud of myself. Yay. Any recommendations on beautiful lipsticks that I should look at? Mention me at Instagram or Twitter alright?

Reviews on the Cafes

Guess what kind of adventure did I go today? Curious?

Well, don't stop there! Just continue reading!

Another well spent day on my off day but this time round, with a blogger. It was so called last minute plan. Not all last minute plans are the best but this one is just adorable. It was our first time meeting each other but it was not awkward at all. Weird, isn't it? Let's not elaborate on that! Let's just focus on today's adventure. So today, we thought of going to the cafes that are cool and cozy places to hang out at. Not forgetting about the desserts too so we went to Bugis since there are a lot of cafes at that area.

FIRST STOP - The Lab Cafe (@the_lab_sg)
It was raining and we did not even bring an umbrella with us so we walked under the rain, trying to find the place. At first, we thought it was near the Masjid Sultan but it was the other side. The Lab Cafe is located at 1 Jalan Pisang #01-01. You don't actually have to know the unit number. Just walk along the Jalan Pisang and the first thing you will see the signage "The Lab". This cafe is newly opened and thanks to Instagram, I somehow knew about this. Sadly, there are so limited choices for the desserts so it is not the best choice for dessert lovers to come. As for the price, its range is from $10 and above :) The food is quite delicious but people have different taste so I am not so sure whether you will like it or not. As for me, it is just urhmmmm *delicious*

SECOND STOP - Cake Love Dessert Bar (@cakelovesg)

After having a heavy meal, we planned to get our desserts at this dessert bar. When you go out from the lab cafe, you can actually see the place because it was just the opposite of it. The place is quite cute as the seats have a vintage bottle cap on top. Somehow, it attracts my attention to actually go there. There are a lot of cakes but then we did not order that. This is what we had just now.
Churros with caramel and chocolate sauce
You should try one because this is one of the best churros that I have actually tasted before. It is quite cheap and I bet this is not enough for you. So, I recommend you to go and have a taste of their churros.

LAST STOP - La Marelle Cafe (@lamarellecafe)

This cafe is actually on the 2nd floor and located at 25a Baghdad Street. Easiest explanation would be, from the Masjid Sultan, there will be a middle pathway and small shops along it. Just walk straight and you will see the signage. This time round, we had a taste of one of their cakes which was Hazelnut something ( I forgot the name of it). It is such a cozy place to have your first date there I guess. Or you can even hang out with our old friends there too.

DETAILS ON THE OUTFIT
Boys Flannel Shirt and white top from H&M; Boyfriend Jeans from Cotton On
Shoes from Converse

Too long right? Lastly, I would like to thank my friend that actually spent time with me today which is Hannah. Thank you so much for going to all of these cafes with me. Check her blog out. Here's the link to her blog glitterondiamonds.blogspot.sg

Review on Alive Museum

One of my wishlist that I should go in Singapore has been crossed out. Guess what the place is?! Well, it would take all of you awhile to actually search for the answer but not to worry because I will tell you as I am so excited for it. The place is actually Alive Museum, one of the most attractive places that people should go if they are in Singapore.

Alive Museum is a newly opened museum that consists of 82 paintings altogether and all of them are 3D paintings. The unique thing about it is when you take pictures of the painting, it creates illusion visually. Cool, isn't it? Well, it costs about $25/person (Singapore dollar). Some people would actually think it is costly but I can guarantee that it will be worth your money. For a person like me that actually hates going to museums as I think it is such a waste of time and it will make me bored easily, Alive Museum makes my perspective of mind changed. I bet all of you will enjoy yourself when you go to Alive Museum because I did.

Enough of the typing, so here comes the pictures!!
Opps, these are JUST some of the paintings! If I post all the pictures, there is no point for you to go so just a sneak peek. *chuckles* but amazing, isn't it? Did I make all of you want to go there? If I did, YAY because you need to go no matter what! Do not miss out this awesome museum that will actually make you satisfied with the money that you have paid. If not, I just hope I did.

For more information, you can actually go to their website which is www.alivemuseum.sg :)

Before I end this, I would like to thank these 2 people that have actually made this adventure one of the best one for me. Thank you so much.

To all of you that actually reads my blog, thank you for reading and giving me so much support. I really love all of you. I feel so honored and touched because I really thought no one would want to read it but thank you again.

Hmm, where shall I go for my next adventure? Make sure mention me at Twitter and comment on my Instagram pictures because I will reply you!

Bad Experience!

It was such a great day indeed until something happened when we were on our way back to Singapore. Specifically, Woodlands Checkpoint. I was so pissed off so badly and intended to literally blog about it. So here I am, blogging about how hurtful I was.

It all started like this..
You know when nature calls you, you try your best to tolerate with it because you are in the car and there isn't any nearest toilet anywhere? That was how I felt just now. I was trying my best to refrain from urinating at inappropriate places (you know I know) so yeah. Since I tried to control for the past hour, I could not take it anymore so I told my mum that I really need to go urgently. The traffic was so bad at Woodlands checkpoint so mum and I decided to bring our passport along and walk to the place where the police(?) had to chop or scan our passport. One of the so-called officer stopped us so we told him that I really need to go to the ladies urgently and guess what? He took his own sweet time to serve the people in the car, scanning their passports first. He also called someone to assist us to the ladies. My mum got so angry and told him off. Oh gosh, what if he is in my place, would he be piss off or not? Just so angry about it. In the end, he scanned our passport and let us go. Then we walked all the way straight and saw another officer which was a lady. She stopped us and asked where we were heading to. So my mum repeated the same story to this lady. Guess what? She acted so blur and took her own sweet time to give us directions. Like, the heck. Can't they just give us a good service?

We just walked straight and saw the ladies sign in Block A but guess what? It was locked. So we needed to walk so far to Block B to go to the next nearest ladies. Oh gosh, why does this happen to me in this such timing? We walked and walked and we found one like AT LAST.

The thing is, I was pissed off on how the service that the officers were given to us. They were treating us as if we were suspicious people. We did not even bring anything except for our phones and passports with us. How could they treat us like that? Another thing is how hard to find the toilets at the checkpoints. Hais. Just really pissed off. Really. Seriously bro. Next time, give us a better service or you could speak to us politely right. Thank you very much.

1st Syawal 2014

I am supposed to be in Singapore right now, enjoying myself eating kuih raya and "jalan raya-ing" with family (is there even a meaning for that word?) but yet, I am already stuck in Malaysia.

This year's raya theme for my family is songket (malay traditional clothes). Simple yet sweet to look at. This is how it looks like.
This year, I need to pin a big brooch at the back for ALL OF MY RAYA OUTFITS. I do not know why but somehow the tailor made it so big for me. Even for the skirts as well. Oh why oh why. Unfortunate raya for me I guess.
The complete family candid picture :) Well, everyone is here on 1st Syawal Alhamdulillah. It has been 3 years I guess because some of them are in overseas and busy working. That is why finally we have a complete family photo.
This year's raya would not be awesome if you do not have a family selfie. Well, selfie is pretty much the trend for this year. So why not take a selfie? At first, I thought all of them would not want to take a selfie. Once I shouted "selfie!", everyone smiled. Such a supporting family I have.
This is the kakak-kakak (old sisters) and abang-abang (old brothers). We used to be so small and now here we are. So tall and becoming more prettier and handsome :P jkjk~
Last but not least, this is my own beautiful family photo. For us, formal family photo is so mainstream so this is what we did for this year's raya photo. The 3 ladies in the family. I bet everyone would wonder "where's the father?".

Guess what? This is only the 1st Syawal.
